Michelle Obama claims that White House 'tests you' in interview

Former First Lady Michelle Obama gave an inside look at life in the White House in a forthcoming episode of “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” that is set to release on Monday.

In the interview, Obama revealed that “The White House tests you in ways that you never anticipated," especially as a mother of two.

This interview comes as rumors about Obama being a dark horse presidential candidate for the Democrat Party continue to build.

With President Joe Biden's advanced age and faltering campaign and the lack of legitimate options, some believe that the Democrat Party will have to get creative in 2024.

Picking Michelle Obama would be unprecedented but that might be what Democrats need in next year's election.

Desperate times

However, it doesn't look like the former first lady is an easy option as she seemed to express reservations about her time in the White House years ago.

Later in the interview snippet, Obama stated that "I tell young people this, especially young people who think they want fame: Do you know what that is? When you become famous, you lose your anonymity. That’s a tough thing to lose. I never wanted to feel so high that I was closed off and suspicious.”

She also hinted that the White House and the pressures that came with being in the spotlight put a strain on her marriage with former President Barack Obama.

Obama explained that "I don’t want people looking at me and Barack like #couplesgoals. No, no. There are some broken things that happen even in the best of marriages."

Considering that Obama is being careful with her words and being very strategic, it is safe to assume that there was real hardship that came with her time in the spotlight.

The question is would Michelle Obama want to put herself back out there and undergo the extreme stress that comes with a presidential run.

Unlikely candidate

The Democrat Party is in desperate need of a legitimate candidate. President Biden's extreme age has turned off many voters who understand that Biden is too old to serve a second term.

Vice President Kamala Harris is extremely unpopular to the point where Biden's reelection campaign has essentially locked her in the basement away from the public.

Democrats need someone with a strong facade that can distract from the Democrat Party's growing radical platform.

What better candidate than Michelle Obama, a candidate that would harken back to allegedly simpler times. Of course, this is all extremely unlikely meaning Democrats will have to rely on octogenarian Joe Biden to beat a surging Donald Trump.
