She finally did it.

Michelle Obama opened up about the divorce rumors that have been following her around ever since she skipped Jimmy Carter's funeral.

Obama dismisses rumors

Obama's absences from that event and President Trump's inauguration were widely remarked, given her role as a former First Lady.

However, the vocal feminist defended her decision to stay home in a podcast interview with actress Sophia Bush.

Obama reprised her old habit of playing the victim, as she criticized society's expectations as sexist.

She did not explain why she decided to snub the late Jimmy Carter, but she apparently thinks it's a form of oppression to attend a major public event with her own husband. Very on-brand for the author of Becoming!

"That's the thing that we as women, I think we struggle with disappointing people. I mean, so much so that this year people were, you know, they couldn't even fathom that I was making a choice for myself that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing," Obama said.

"That this couldn't be a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself, right?"

"That's what society does to us."

Putting herself first

A 61-year-old woman who gets paid lavishly to give vapid speeches about herself complaining about society - that's the progressive lifestyle in a nutshell!

Obama said she is finally taking charge of her calendar now that she's no longer burdened with the responsibilities of public life or being a mother to two young girls.

“Now is the time for me to start asking myself these hard questions of, ‘Who do I truly want to be every day?’ And that changes,” Michelle said.

“So, who do I want to have a lunch with? How long do I want to stay in a place? Do I want to travel? If a girlfriend calls and says, ‘Let’s go here,’ I can say ‘Yes!’ I can. And I’m trying to do that more and more.”

“So what does it look like? It looks like whatever I want it to look like. And I still find time to give speeches, to be out there in the world, to work on projects. I still care about girls’ education,” she added.

A brunch here, a six-figure speaking gig there, what's not to like?

That's right, world, Michelle Obama is putting herself first for a change!
