In contrast with the prominent positions taken by elder brothers Eric and Donald Jr., Barron Trump has opted for a relatively low public profile.

Yet despite avoiding the limelight, leaked details suggests that the president-elect's youngest child plays an important role in the Trump family.

Melania Trump: Barron helped father reach younger voters

According to The Hill, First Lady Melania Trump alluded to that fact during an interview last month during an interview with Fox News' "Fox & Friends."

"He is a grown young man," Mrs. Trump said of her 18-year-old son. "I'm very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics and giving an advice to his father — he brought in so many young people."

"He knows his generation, because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They're all on the tablets, they’re on the phones, and all of these podcasts and streamers," she continued.

"He was very vocal, and he gave an advice to his father, and was incredible how he brought in a success because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to," the soon-to-be first lady went on to recall.

Trump adviser says Barron was "very involved" in campaign

Barron's mother isn't the only one singing Barron's praises, as longtime Trump adviser Jason Miller has spoken positively of him as well.

"Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do," the New York Post quoted Miller as telling Politico's "Playbook Deep Dive" in October.

"I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet. He’s done a great job," Miller continued.

Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump is Barron's sister-in-law, and she offered a similar perspective when speaking with podcast host Patrick Bet-David.

"There have been many times I’ve been traveling over the course of the campaign with my father-in-law in the car," she told Bet-David. "Barron will call and say, 'Dad, I have an idea of how you can get more votes,' and it’ll be, you know, 'You need to go to this baseball stadium' or whatever."

Book claims Melania ensured an "equal" inheritance for Barron

Meanwhile, the Irish Star reported that Barron's mother has made a point of looking out for her son's long-term financial future.

It cited author Mary Jordan, who alleged in a book titled "The Art of Her Deal" that Barron came up when Mrs. Trump renegotiated her prenuptial agreement.

"She wanted proof in writing that when it came to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron would be treated as more of an equal to Trump’s oldest three children," Jordan wrote.
