NBC News has chosen to fire former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel days after it was announced that she would be joining the network.

That's according to a report from Puck News founder Dylan Byers on Tuesday, who also stated that McDaniel is now seeking legal representation.

Hosts expressed outrage after McDaniel was hired

Breitbart noted that the former RNC chairwoman's termination came following a public outcry from on-air personalities at NBC News and its affiliated networks.

Among them was "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, who denounced McDaniel in a post on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter.

"The issue isn’t about ideology, it’s about basic truth. Those trying to make this a left-right issue are being intentionally dishonest," Todd declared.

Conservative journalist recalls false Russian collusion claims

"This is about whether honest journalists are supposed to lend their credibility to someone who intentionally tried to ruin ours," the television anchor went on to insist.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow spoke up as well during her Monday broadcast, who compared hiring McDaniel to hiring "a made man, like a mobster, to work at a DA’s office."

She went on to accuse McDaniel of being "someone who is part of an ongoing project to get rid of our system of government" and "is trying to convince Americans that, this election stuff, it doesn't really work."

However, critics like The Federalist editor-in-chief Mollie Hemingway accused figures like Maddow and Todd of exhibiting hypocrisy.

"For YEARS you have falsely claimed that Trump stole the 2016 election by colluding with Russia," Hemingway wrote in a social media post.

"You spent years attacking people who didn't agree with your dangerous conspiracy theory. You can sit down," she added.

Breitbart contributor says McDaniel affair exposes mainstream media

Meanwhile, Breitbart contributor John Nolte called McDaniel's removal "a win for America" as it exposed the true nature of the mainstream media.

This consists of being "spoiled, dishonest, hypocritical, hyper-partisan crybullies" who are "desperate to keep their velvet-lined echo chamber echoing."

"Every time the left-wing tail wags the dog at an NBC, New York Times, or CNN, it is yet another black mark against their credibility that pushes them even further into irrelevance," he declared.

" A free people [claim] their rights, as derived from the laws of nature."
