Democrats showed their true colors once again as far as how they feel about illegal migrants and attacks on police officers.

According to reports, nearly 150 House Democrats voted against a bill that would deport illegals who attack law enforcement officers.

The Detain and Deport Illegal Aliens Who Assault Cops Act passed the House 265-148, with all 211 Republicans voting in favor of the bill, and 148 Democrats voting against it.

Notably, 54 Democrats supported the bill, while six Republicans and 11 Democrats did not vote on the bill, which was led by Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ).

What happened?

The common sense bill's language was clear, with Drew describing it as a necessary bill.

"There is no reason that an illegal alien who attacks our law enforcement should remain in our country; that shows zero respect for our rule of law or our institutions, and they will not be positive contributors to society."

Fox News noted:

The bill would require illegal immigrants to be detained by federal authorities until they can be deported. It would also "create a new category for migrant inadmissibility" specifically dealing with illegal immigrants who were accused of assaulting police, Van Drew said.

Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) also commented on the shocking number of House Democrats who voted against the bill -- a bill that shouldn't be a partisan issue whatsoever.

"House Democrats just voted to protect violent illegal immigrants over our brave law enforcement officers. Once again, the Democrat Party proves they are the most anti-law enforcement party in history," Emmer said.

Increase in attacks

The bill comes in the wake of an uptick of attacks on cops by illegal aliens, like the highly publicized incident earlier this year when two NYPD officers were attacked in broad daylight by a group of illegal migrants.

Social media users torched the Democrats who voted against the bill.

"A vast majority of @HouseDemocrats @SenateDems do not support our men & women in the police departments across this country. This is just additional affirmation of that fact. They simply do not care!" one X user wrote.

Another X user wrote, "Not shocked at all, they hate our peace keepers."
