Conservatives were laughed at by most of the media and Democrats when they brought up concerns about being censored across social media for different viewpoints on the controversial subjects of the day. 

According to Breitbart, another trove of documents -- mostly emails recently made public -- from behind the scenes at Facebook prove that the tech giant was essentially taking censorship orders from the Biden administration.

In a bombshell Wall Street Journal report, it was noted that in one case, top Facebook executives were "ready to tell the White House that it had demoted a video posted by Tucker Carlson by 50% in response to the White House’s demands, even though the post didn’t violate any policies."

The stunning but not surprising report comes in the wake of the "Twitter Files" document dump earlier this year that revealed the influence of the Biden administration over pre-Elon Musk Twitter.

What's happening?

The House Judiciary Committee, led by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), requested the internal documents from Facebook, and was first met with extreme resistance.

After threatening to hold Mark Zuckerberg in contempt over the company's refusal to provide the documents, it finally buckled and sent them over.

Some of the emails show concern from within the ranks of Facebook, questioning why some of the content was removed instead of demoted.

"We were under pressure from the administration and others to do more. We shouldn’t have done it," one Facebook vice president of content admitted.

"In April 2021, a Facebook employee circulated an email for Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg, writing: “We are facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the [Biden] White House” to remove posts," Jordan tweeted this week as part of a multi-thread post unveiling the never-before-seen documents.

Stifling free speech

Jordan made clear that Facebook, at the direction of the Biden administration, clearly violated millions of Americans' right to Free Speech.

"These documents, AND OTHERS that were just produced to the Committee, prove that the Biden Admin abused its powers to coerce Facebook into censoring Americans, preventing free and open discourse on issues of critical public importance," Jordan tweeted.
