There have long been concerns that President Joe Biden is suffering from cognitive declineHowever, former President Donald Trump recently leveled a mental health-related allegation against Hillary Clinton.

According to The Hill, Trump posted an ad to Truth Social late last week in which he said the former secretary of state wants to brainwash voters.

Ad recalls Clinton's suggestion that Trump voters need "deprogramming"

The video shows a group of blindfolded voters lining up for brainwashing as clips of Clinton offering words of praise for President Biden.

The video then plays clips from a controversial interview Clinton had earlier this month with CNN in which she suggested that Trump supporters are part of a cult who must undergo "deprogramming."

"Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members," the failed 2016 Democratic presidential candidate told host Christiane Amanpour.

Ad hits Biden on economy

"And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure. He’s only in it for himself," she declared.

Clinton later asserted that Trump "will wreck our democracy" and complained that he "violates the law on a regular basis."

Meanwhile, the ad went on to lay into President Biden's economic record before asserting, "But there’s one small problem. Working Americans aren’t idiots. And they know who’s on their side."

Trump himself then appeared, saying, "To American workers watching their take home pay stink and watching inflation destroy their family and their lives, to all of you, I have your back."

Poll finds Trump leading Biden in swing-states

The ad comes as Biden and Trump appear to be locked in a tight race, with some polls showing the latter ahead of his successor.

Bloomberg reported last week that a Morning Consult survey found 49% of swing-state voters trust former President Donald Trump to handle the economy compared with 35% who put their faith in Biden.

Caroline Bye is a vice president at Morning Consult, and she was quoted as saying, "Almost twice as many voters in the swing states are saying that Bidenomics is bad for the economy, as opposed to good for the economy, which is a really startling fact if you’re the Biden campaign."
