NYC Mayor Eric Adams to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago
Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman raised eyebrows earlier this month when he traveled to President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort.
Yet Fetterman isn't the only member of his party to meet with the incoming president, as the Washington Examiner reported that New York City Mayor Eric Adams is doing so too.
Adams "looks forward to having a productive conversation"
The Plans of Adams' meeting with Trump were revealed in a statement put out on Thursday by New York City Deputy Mayor for Communications Fabien Levy.
“Mayor Adams has made quite clear his willingness to work with President-elect Trump and his incoming administration on behalf of New Yorkers — and that partnership with the federal government is critical to New York City's success," Levy explained.
"Tomorrow, Mayor Adams will sit down with President-elect Trump and discuss New Yorkers’ priorities," the city official continued.
Levy went on to add that Adams "looks forward to having a productive conversation with the incoming president on how we can move our city and country forward."
Adams came to Trump's defense at October press conference
Despite being a Democrat, Adams has spoken positively of Trump, such as in October when he denied that the then-former president was a Nazi.

"You know, I have been — had those terms hurled at me by some political leaders in the city using terms like Hitler and fascist," Breitbart quoted Adams as telling reporters.
"My answer is no. I know what Hitler has done, and I know what a fascist regime looks like," he stressed before calling on critics to "dial down the temperature."
Trump suggests that Adam's criminal charges are politically motivated
Meanwhile, the Independent noted how Trump suggested at a September press conference that Adams' indictment on federal corruption charges were politically motivated.
Specifically, he alleged that the mayor was being targeted for having spoken out against President Joe Biden's border security failures.
"I watched about a year ago when he talked about how the illegal migrants are hurting our city and the federal government should pay us and we shouldn’t have to take them, and I said 'you know what, he’ll be indicted within the year' and I was exactly right," Trump declared.
What's more, Trump reiterated that message while speaking at the Al Smith Dinner, saying, "We were persecuted, Eric. I was persecuted, and so are you, Eric."
