Obama mentioned in bizarre moment during P. Diddy trial
The jury in P. Diddy's sex trafficking trial heard more disturbing details Tuesday about his depraved drug-and-sex binges from the hip hop producer's former assistant.
David James testified to a Manhattan court that Sean "Diddy" Combs ingested ecstasy pills shaped like President Barack Obama's face.
Obama named in trial
“There were various pills, but one was in the form of a former president’s face," James said.
“Which former president?” prosecutor Christy Slavik asked.
The bizarre exchange offers another clue into the debauched life that Combs led up until his arrest last year.
Other witnesses
The jury also heard Tuesday from a male exotic dancer known as "The Punisher," as well as the mother of Combs' ex-girlfriend and star witness Cassie Ventura, who testified last week about the alleged abuse she experienced at Combs' hands.
The trial is in its second week, and numerous A-listers have been mentioned, a testament to Combs' extensive connections in Hollywood.
Regina Ventura told the jury that Combs demanded $20,000 and threatened to release sex tapes of her daughter after she started dating rapper Kid Cudi.
In her own testimony, Cassie Ventura called James the "trusted assistant" of Combs who helped arrange his notorious orgies.
James, who worked for the Bad Boy Records founder from 2007 to 2009, said his boss would take drugs "every day" and often appeared to be high during business meetings. His toiletry bag contained no fewer than 25 to 30 bottles of pills at any given moment.
“Some were Advil, Tylenol,” James said. “He had water pills to help him lose weight. He had Viagra in there. Some pills to help increase his sperm count. He had ecstasy and Percocet in there as well.”
P. Diddy's "kingdom"
James would book hotel rooms for Combs and keep the place stocked with whatever Combs requested, including Viagra, baby oil, and snacks like Jello.
The former assistant cried at one point as he recounted his experience working in Combs' "kingdom."
"I remember sitting at her desk and there was a picture of Mr. Combs on the wall," James told the court of his early days on the job.
"She pointed at the wall and said this is Mr. Combs kingdom. We’re all here to serve him."
James also said he was the victim of attempted blackmail from Diddy, who threatened to release video of the assistant taking ecstasy at one of Combs' infamous "freak-off" parties.
The prosecution shared images Tuesday of the items that were found at Combs' Miami mansion, including sex toys, lubricant, platform heels, and AR-15s.
