According to Breitbart, Hunter Biden repeatedly threatened to use his father's influence against a Chinese business partner in 2017.

What's more, photographs from Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop show he was at his father's Delaware home the day that he sent the messages.

"I am sitting here with my father"

The messages were made public on Thursday by the Republican-controlled House Ways and Means Committee following testimony by IRS whistleblowers who say they faced retaliation for investigating the president's son.

"I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled," he stated.

"Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight," Hunter Biden continued.

"And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction," he wrote.

All too often people mistake kindness for weakness — and all too often I am standing over top of them saying I warned you. From this moment until whenever he reaches me.

The president's son followed that message up with another that read, "I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father. I sure hope whatever it is you are doing is very very important."

Meanwhile, The Washington Free Beacon published photographs which show Hunter Biden sitting in his father's 1967 Corvette Stingray on the same day the messages were sent.

Breitbart noted that the picture was taken at the same house that President Joe Biden was found to have stored classified documents dating back to his time as vice president.

White House press secretary dodges questions

The new revelations led to several tense moments during a briefing on Thursday in which White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused dodged questions about whether the president was involved with his son's business dealings.
