Poll shows Trump's policies are hugely popular, debunk false narrative of deep disapproval by Dems and media
Democrats and their media allies have spent the past month arguing loudly that President Donald Trump's policies are deeply unpopular with a majority of the American people, including even many Republicans who voted for Trump last year.
Those assertions were just debunked as false by a major poll that showed widespread majority approval from the American people for most of Trump's policy agenda, including from substantial numbers of Democratic voters, according to PJ Media.
The poll results not only vindicate Trump but also further expose the deceptive narratives and deliberate gaslighting of Americans by deceitful Democrats and the dishonestly biased media.
Trump has a positive job approval rating
The pollsters at Harvard CAPS/Harris surveyed 2,443 registered voters between Feb. 19-20, with a margin of error of 2 points, and found that President Trump and his policy agenda are far more popular with the American people than Democrats and the media would have everyone believe.
For starters, Trump currently enjoys a 52% job approval rating that included majority or plurality support from every demographic group except Democrats, adults 18-24, and black Americans, and is +7 in favorability with 50% of Americans holding a favorable opinion of him.
It was also revealed that 58% believe Trump is doing a better job overall than his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, including on specific issues like handling the economy, immigration, foreign affairs, leading the government, and inflation.
At the same time, the approval of Republicans stands at 51% while approval of Democrats has plummeted to just 36%, and 66% of voters say Democrats should adopt a "wait-and-see" attitude toward Trump's actions instead of reflexively opposing -- or lying about -- his every move.
Most of Trump's policies are popular
When it comes to President Trump's policy agenda, he has been quite busy over his first month with dozens of executive orders dealing with an assortment of pressing issues, and much to the chagrin of Democrats and media pundits who've falsely asserted that those moves are broadly unpopular, the Harvard CAPS/Harris pollsters found that nearly all of them earned widespread approval.
That includes 81% who support deporting criminal illegal aliens, 76% who support finding and eliminating fraud and waste in federal spending, 76% who support increased border security, and 69% who support banning biological men from women's sports -- issues that all drew majority support from Democrats as well.
The pollsters also found that 68% support Trump's declaration of only two genders, 65% support ending racial and sexual preferences in federal hiring and contract awards, 63% support freezing and re-evaluating all foreign aid, 61% support reciprocal tariffs on foreign nations, 59% support cutting federal spending even if congressionally authorized, and 57% support ending the bans on offshore drilling for oil and gas.

That said, there are a few areas where Trump lacks majority support, such as his bid to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, and there is some concern and disagreement, even among some Republicans, for his efforts thus far in reducing inflation and handling the ongoing Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas conflicts.
Americans approve of Trump but not the Democrats
In the end, despite the falsities put forward by Democrats and their media mouthpieces, President Trump and his policies have received the approval of a substantial majority of the electorate while the Democrats and their most prominent figures are viewed broadly with deep disapproval.
"People are taking a generally positive wait-and-see attitude for Trump but have really reassessed their attitudes toward Biden, Harris, and the Democrats, taking a much harsher, more negative attitude," chief pollster Mark Penn said in a statement. "Trump has a real opportunity here -- we’re seeing a healthy, trudging approval edging toward real approval based on how the next couple of months turn out."
