Prince Andrew has reportedly been kicked out of Buckingham Palace by King Charles III over the Jeffrey Epstein sexual abuse scandal.

Prince Andrew was first punished last year but maintained an office at the palace until the latest decision.

The report

"This arrangement has now reportedly come to an end, with The Sun newspaper claiming that the King has moved to 'evict' his controversial brother from the London Royal residence, meaning that he will no longer be able to use the address for any future correspondence or for operating his office," Breitbart News reported.

"Speaking to Britain’s largest daily newspaper, a source said: 'Any presence at the palace is officially over… The King has made it clear. He isn’t a working royal. He’s on his own,'" it added.

The background

"The Duke, 62, will no longer be allowed an office in the building — or to use it as a corresponding address," the Sun reported.

"In February, Andrew paid millions of pounds to settle a US civil sex assault case brought by Virginia Giuffre — while making no admission of liability," it added.

His removal came following an announcement that he would also be losing his role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards that he inherited. Queen Consort Camilla was announced as the new royal to take the role.

In 2019, it was first announced that he was stepping down from his role.

"In the 21st century, much of the role of British royals is to support to charities and good works, with individual royals acting as patrons of specific causes," Breitbart reported at the time.

"The decision to step down from public works for Prince Andrew has come among several charities and universities choosing to sever links," it noted.

The latest decision finally removes the prince completely from the royal household, offering some finality following years of scandal and accusations of sexual misconduct as a member of Britain's leading family.
