Prince Andrew's name and face have been scrubbed from royal family's website
The U.K.'s Prince Andrew made headlines late last month after his older brother King Charles ordered him to vacate the Royal Lodge mansion.
What's more, a new report revealed that the prince has all but vanished from the royal family's official website.
Andrew's name and image no longer appear
That's according to Fox News, which noted how Andrew's name and image no longer appear alongside those of others in his family as of Monday.
"His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence," a statement released by Buckingham Palace on October 30 was quoted as saying.
"Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation," the statement continued.
It went on to add that such measures were "deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him."
Expulsion stemmed from Andrew's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein
Fox News noted how Andrew's expulsion came two months after the publication of a book by British author Andrew Lownie titled "Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York."
Lownie spoke to the cable news network earlier this year about Andrew's relationship with deceased finance mogul and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
"I think the reason that Epstein and Andrew were such good friends was that they were interested in the same stuff, basically money and sex," he told Fox News.
"Andrew gave Epstein respectability and some useful contacts from his role as a special trade envoy," the author explained.
Lownie says that friendship was "a win-win situation for both of them"
"And for Andrew, Epstein provided someone who would pay [his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s] bills, someone who provided a ready supply of women and also, as he said in the Newsnight interview, had some useful contacts for him," Lownie continued.
He then asserted that Epstein and the British prince each offered what amounted to "a win-win situation for both of them."
"I think it was very easy for Epstein to prey on Andrew because he knew he had these weaknesses. One was his greed and the need to pay off Fergie’s debts," Lownie said in reference to the financial obligations which had been famously incurred by Sarah Ferguson.
"And the other was that he had this sexual addiction, rather like Epstein. Epstein needed constant sexual gratification, and Andrew was the same," the author maintained.
