A reality TV star and high-end jewelry designer has died after a tragic skiing accident.
Singapore native Lynn Ban, 51, was pronounced dead at her New York home on Monday, weeks after injuring her head during an Aspen skiing trip.
Ban appeared in eight episodes of Bling Empire: New York in 2023. The show is a spinoff of Bling Empire, which follows the extravagant lives of wealthy Asian Americans in Los Angeles.
Her jewelry designs were worn by stars like Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish.

Ban's husband, Jett Kain, found her unresponsive at their Tribeca, New York home on Monday afternoon. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is not considered suspicious.
On Christmas Eve, Ban told her Instagram followers that she was hospitalized after injuring her head while skiing. Ban said she wore a helmet and was cleared by ski patrol but continued to suffer headaches.
She was encouraged to go to the hospital for a CAT scan, which led to the discovery that she had a brain bleed.
The jewelry designer said she underwent an emergency brain surgery that "saved my life."
"I went in a taxi with Jett and within 30 minutes they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital,” she wrote.
"Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side," she wrote.
Tributes pouring in
In the wake of Ban's death, tributes are pouring in from loved ones and fans of her fashion work.
"Lynn Ban was truly one of the best to ever do it. A true diva," one user wrote.

Her son, Sebastian, announced his mother's death in an Instagram post.
"Although she may be gone now, I will do everything I can to make sure she is never forgotten and for her life to be celebrated as it deserves to be. As a final message to my mum, I would just like to say that I will miss you forever and to end in something she always told me ‘I love you more than life itself’ mum.”
