Far-left Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashia Tlaib has long found herself at the center of criticism from congressional Republicans.

However, one GOP lawmaker recently called for the Squad member's expulsion after she spoke at an event with links to a terrorist group.

Organization is on State Department's terror list

According to Breitbart, New York Republican Rep. Mike Lawler made that case in a social media post this past weekend, calling her behavior "disqualifying."

He included a clip of Tlaib speaking at the "People's Conference for Palestine," an anti-Israel conference that is linked to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

The State Department's website lists the PFLP as a designated foreign terrorist organization. What's more, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence says it "combines Arab nationalism with Marxist-Leninist ideology" and was responsible for a 2019 terror attack.

Lawler wrote in his post that Tlaib "should be removed from Congress immediately." He added, "Associating with and speaking before groups that are funded by US designated terrorist organizations is disqualifying."

Keynote speaker was married to a convicted terrorist

National Review reported that the conference's keynote speaker was Sana’ Daqqah, who was married to PFLP terrorist Walid Daqqah.

Her husband died in an Israeli prison last month where he was incarcerated for a 1984 terror attack in which an Israeli soldier was kidnapped, tortured, and killed.

Meanwhile, The Detroit Free Press noted that Tlaib went after President Joe Biden along with fellow Democrats over their support for aid to Israel.

"When I watched my colleagues, one by one, voting 'yes' to send $14 billion to the apartheid regime, those committing genocide, all I kept thinking about is that us, the United States, is the primary investor and funder of genocide," she declared. "We're literally co-conspirators. It's shameful."

Watchdog group says Hamas-linked activists fundraised for Tlaib

"We’re not gonna forget in November, are we?" Tlaib told attendees. "The International Court of Justice just ruled that the Israeli government must stop its invasion of Rafah."

"But, President Biden says what’s happening in Gaza is not a genocide. Where’s your red line, President Biden?" she demanded.

This is far from being the first time Tlaib has courted controversy, as a watchdog group alleged in November that she received fundraising help from six Hamas-linked individuals during her 2018 campaign.
