Rep. Schiff claims that he got robbed

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) claims that he has been robbed.

The incident, according to The Hill, allegedly took place on Thursday, just before a dinner party that Schiff attended in San Francisco, California.

This is the same Adam Schiff who unashamedly pushed the false Russia-Trump Collusion Hoax and who continues to launch absurd attacks on former President Donald Trump and Republicans. It's the same congressman whom Trump has nicknamed "pencil neck."

Despite all of his shortcomings, Schiff is still in Congress and, in fact, he is looking for a promotion, as he is currently running for one of California's U.S. Senate seats.

The alleged robbery

The San Francisco Chronicle has reported some of the details of the robbery.

"Hello to the city, goodbye to your luggage. That was U.S. Senate candidate Adam Schiff’s rude introduction to San Francisco’s vexing reputation for car burglaries Thursday when thieves swiped the bags from his car while it sat in a downtown parking garage," the outlet reported.

It continued, "The heist meant the Democratic congressman got stuck at a fancy dinner party in his shirt sleeves and a hiking vest while everyone else sat in suits. Not quite the look the man from Burbank was aiming for as he rose to thank powerhouse attorney Joe Cotchett for his support in his bid to replace the late Dianne Feinstein."

Pictures of Schiff, at the fancy dinner party - in the short sleeves and the vest, while everyone else is in formal dress - are circulating around the internet.

The Chronicle goes on to report that "Schiff was unruffled by the kerfuffle, and carried on as though everything was fine."

Schiff's statement, and the public response

Schiff's campaign, according to the Associated Presshas released a statement on the alleged robbery, saying, "Yes, they took my bags."

Many are now taking the opportunity to slam dunk on Schiff, and this even includes the left-wing Associated Press.

"Statistically, reported auto break-ins are down in San Francisco, but vehicles with busted windows and sprinkles of broken glass remain a common sight in the city. Visitors and residents are constantly reminded to remove valuables from parked cars. It was advice Schiff neglected to follow," the outlet wrote.

On social media, users said such things as "you reap what you sow, Democrats," suggesting that the robbery is the result of Democratic policies.

It's probably safe to say that the suspect(s) will not be caught. But, even if they were, what would really happen to them in San Francisco?
