Report: Biden went on profane rant over special counsel's findings

In a report released last week, Special Counsel Robert Hur explained that the decision not to prosecute President Joe Biden for mishandling classified documents was partly based on his declining mental prowess.

Biden was angered by that finding, with even fellow Democrats reportedly becoming victims of his wrath.

Biden used profanity in angry rant

That's according to the Associated Press, which stated that the president reacted angrily to Hur's claim when speaking to a group of House Democrats during a retreat in Virginia on Thursday.

The news service cited two people said to be familiar with the matter that Biden was particularly incensed by the suggestion that he did not recall when his son Beau Biden had passed away, yelling, "You think I would f--king forget the day my son died?"

This was apparently not the president's only outburst, as the Associated Press reported that Biden "repeated a version of the line without the F-bomb during a Q&A with a larger group of House Dems."

"And, according to a source familiar with the planning for the hastily arranged news conference last night, Biden was angry and defiant and still feeling especially outraged by the Beau line when he decided to face reporters and defend himself from Hur’s slurs — and then compounded the questions about his memory issues by referring to Egyptian President ABDEL FATTAH EL-SISI as the 'president of Mexico,'" the news service went on to state.

Special Counsel claims president was "hazy" about important details

Fox News quoted Hur as stating, "In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died."

"And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him," Hur continued.

"Among other things, he mistakenly said he 'had a real difference' of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama," Hur pointed out.

The special counsel went on to assert that Biden was unable to recall the years that his time as vice president began or came to an end.

Republicans complain of double standard

Meanwhile, many Republicans took issue with Hur not recommending charges against Biden despite former President Donald Trump being prosecuted for similar behavior.

"Joe Biden literally had classified documents in an unlocked garage that Hunter Biden, who's probably compromised, was living in," Missouri Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt told Fox News.

"So I think that, you know, without getting the specific facts of the case, that certainly I think the public would tell that you've got two tiers of justice here, which is very concerning," the lawmaker added.
