Former President Joe Biden raised eyebrows this past week when he and former First Lady Jill Biden made an appearance on ABC's "The View."

Yet instead of welcoming his reemergence, some within Biden's own party want him kicked out of the public eye.

Democratic strategist: "Every time Joe Biden emerges, we fight an old war"

According to The Hill, that sentiment was recently voiced by Democratic strategist Anthony Coley, who worked for the Biden administration.

"Elections are about the future," the left-leaning political expert pointed out. "Every time Joe Biden emerges, we fight an old war."

"Every interview he does provides a contrast to Trump that’s just not helpful for the Democratic brand, which needs trusted messengers and fighters who can reach independents and moderates and inspire the base," he continued before stressing, "Joe Biden ain't that."

"There is a way for President Biden to build his postpresidency, but this isn’t it"

"Many Democrats — from elected leaders to the party faithful — are just ready to turn the page. I just don’t think he understands how wide and deep this sentiment is," Coley added.

Another unnamed Democratic strategist echoed those sentiments, telling The Hill that Biden needs to "take responsibility for his actions" and "own up to the fact that he caused Democrats to lose."

"I don’t think there’s a willingness to cop to the fact that he should never have run again in the first place. Why can’t he come out and acknowledge that part of this is on him?" the figure asked.

Longtime Biden ally Steve Schale spoke up as well, stating, "There is a way for President Biden to build his postpresidency, but this isn’t it."

Report: Mrs. Biden offered deal to write an "explosive" book

However, a report published by the Daily Mail suggests that Americans may soon be hearing more rather than less about the former president.

It cited unnamed Washington "insiders" who indicated that Mrs. Biden has been offered a $15 million book deal, with one individual stating that the former first lady "could write a very explosive book if she wanted to."

The Daily Mail speculated that Mrs. Biden could use the book to go after Democratic enemies like former Vice President Kamala.

Other potential targets include former President Barack Obama, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, actor George Clooney, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
