Report: FBI deployed 274 agents to Capitol Hill on January 6
In an article published late last week, Blaze News cited a senior congressional source who indicated that the FBI has admitted to having 274 plainclothes agents present among the January 6 crowd.
That bombshell claim did not go unnoticed by President Donald Trump, who reacted with a furious Truth Social post.
Trump accuses Christopher Wray of lying to Congress
"It was just revealed that the FBI had secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax," Breitbart quoted Trump as writing.
The president then went on to reference testimony which then-FBI Director Christopher Wray offered to lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
"This is different from what Director Christopher Wray stated, over and over again!" he asserted. "That’s right, as it now turns out, FBI Agents were at, and in, the January 6th Protest, probably acting as Agitators and Insurrectionists, but certainly not as ‘Law Enforcement Officials.'"
“I want to know who each and every one of these so-called 'Agents' are, and what they were up to on that now ‘Historic’ Day,” Trump added.
FBI director slams "corrupt leadership"
"Many Great American Patriots were made to pay a very big price only for the love of their Country. I owe this investigation of ‘Dirty Cops and Crooked Politicians’ to them!" the president declared.
He concluded by stating, "That’s two in a row, Comey and Wray, who got caught LYING, with our Great Country at stake. WE CAN NEVER LET THIS HAPPEN TO AMERICA AGAIN!"
FBI Director Kash Patel also addressed the revelations in a social media post of his own, writing, "274 FBI agents were thrown into crowd control on Jan 6 against FBI standards."

That failure was on corrupt leadership.
Thanks to agents stepping up, the truth is coming out.

Agents complained of political bias in after-action report
Meanwhile, Just the News pointed to a post-January 6 after-action report in which FBI agents complained of being "pawns in a political war."
"We have been used as pawns in a political war, and FBI leadership fell into the trap and has allowed it to happen," one agent remarked.
Another complained, "We are supposed to call balls and strikes, regardless of political pressure, now we can’t even be trusted to be on the field."
