In a new, exclusive report, Breitbart News reveals how Hunter Biden "plotted to betray" the Biden family's top financial lieutenant. 

Per the outlet:

Hunter Biden plotted in 2019 to betray the family’s top financial lieutenant Eric Schwerin amid their crumbling relationship, built upon an off-the-books business arrangement, text messages obtained by Breitbart News from Hunter’s laptop reveal.

Who is Schwerin?

According to the New York Post, Schwerin has "deep personal and financial ties" to both President Joe Biden and to Hunter Biden. These ties appear to go back decades.

The Post reports:

Eric Schwerin became one of Hunter Biden’s closest friends, business associates, and an emotional “pillar” to the president’s troubled second son over a 20-year relationship that transformed the enigmatic moneyman into a D.C. power player.

During the Obama-Biden administration, Schwerin, according to the Post, "became a de facto financial planner for the wider Biden family."

"Emails from Hunter Biden’s abandoned hard drive show Schwerin moving money on behalf of father and son and helping Hunter Biden handle family expenses," the Post reports.

The outlet adds, "the Bidens returned the favor, using their influence in the White House to help Schwerin land a plum presidential appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage."

Something went wrong

According to Breitbart, the Biden-Schwerin relationship began to go sour in 2018.

The outlet reports:

Despite Schwerin’s close relationship with the family, Hunter’s text messages in 2018 begin to show a deep distrust of Schwerin and his involvement in the family’s affairs, in which Hunter apparently owed Schwerin money. Their relationship seemingly became so poor that Hunter announced Schwerin was his “worst enemy…And everyone knows it.”

According to Breitbart, by 2019, the relationship between Hunter Biden and Schwerin "deteriorated" such that Biden plotted to "cut Schwerin out of an ongoing off-the-books business arrangement."

Something to watch out for

According to Fox News, the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating the Biden family, has said that it is "in contact with Eric Schwerin’s attorney and expects him to start producing documents to the Oversight Committee soon."

The committee, according to the outlet, had asked both Hunter Biden and Schwerin to hand over information that is relevant to their ongoing investigation of the Biden family.

It is unknown what information Schwerin will provide to the committee. But, the situation is certainly more interesting now that Breitbart has revealed this rift that formed between Schwerin and Hunter Biden.
