Former independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might be out of the race, but he will remain in the headlines, especially after what was brought to light this week.

According to the Daily Mail, the Democrat-turned-independent presidential candidate has been accused of having sexual relationships with no less than three women from an anti-vaccine group that he chairs.

The organization is known as Children's Health Defense.

The three women came forward with the accusations in the wake of a previous accusation that Kennedy had an "emotional and digital affair" with New York Magazine Washington reporter Olivia Nuzzi, and rumors of divorce have been leaked.

What's going on?

The women disclosed their alleged sexual relationships with Kennedy in a series of text messages after finding out about his relationship with Nuzzi.

Making matters worse for Kennedy, it was reported earlier this week by the Daily Mail that friends familiar with the situation say his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, is "expected" to file for divorce in the wake of the controversy.

The Daily Mail noted:

In an exclusive interview, a Hines confidante said the television star, 59, was 'blindsided' by the scandal and had believed her husband's philandering was a thing of the past.

"She adored being a member of America's royal family, and having the famous Kennedy name attached to hers, but now she's thoroughly embarrassed and furious about his adulterous actions and they believe she wants out," one of the insiders said.

They added, "Cheryl was always very aware that Bobby had a long history of womanizing. She herself had become very publicly involved with him when he was still married to his second wife, so his playing around wasn't anything new to her."

The Trump factor

It was noted that some of those within Kennedy's circle are now afraid that the scandal, which seems to be widening, could interfere with his alliance with former President Donald Trump.

Kennedy, after dropping out of the presidential race, shocked many when he fully endorsed Trump for the presidency, and has appeared with the former president multiple times.

It's widely known that Kennedy is likely angling/hoping for a role in the Trump administration should the former president win in November.

A Kennedy spokesperson fully denied the new allegations.
