RFK Jr. reveals why he endorsed Trump despite having previously bashed him politically

For several months this year, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former President Donald Trump traded their fair share of insults.

But that's all water under the bridge now, as Kennedy roundly endorsed Trump last week, and it caused nothing short of total political chaos for the left, as Kennedy's supporters who decide to vote for Trump will be a huge boon for the former president.

According to Breitbart, Kennedy was recently called out regarding his previous thoughts on Trump, and admitted that while they don't see eye-to-eye on some issues, Kennedy believes Trump is right on the "broader issues."

Kennedy's thoughts on Trump came during a recent interview with Fox News Channel's Shannon Bream.

What did he say?

Bream held nothing back when she recounted some of the spicier things Kennedy said about Trump in recent months.

"You and President Trump are not always fans of each other. He posted on social media earlier this year, ‘He’s won the most liberal lunatics to ever run for office. A phony radical left whose poll numbers are terrible and getting worse.’ The New Yorkers to the couple of weeks ago this, in a recent text exchange, Kennedy told one person Trump was a terrible human being, the worst president ever, and barely human. He’s probably a sociopath," she recalled.

Bream added, "I have read your text, so you can speak to that. How did you get from that position to Friday night?"

Kennedy explained that he realized he had no path to a victory in November, and decided to throw his support behind Trump.

"It became clear to me I did not have a path to victory. Sixty months of censorship and not being able to get on any network, really, except for Fox," Kennedy said.

He added, "I had no path to victory. President Trump had been reaching out to me, and I talked to him a few hours after the assassination attempt, and we had a long conversation on the phone. Then, we had extensive meetings, and the broader issues are most important to me, the ones that were brought into the campaign, which are ending the Ukraine war, ending the censorship and protecting children’s health.

"Those are all things President Trump wants to work on."

Focusing on the children

Kennedy added that he and Trump are on the same level as far as protecting the children, and that was good enough for him to jump on the proverbial Trump train.

"These issues are so important for unifying our country we need in this country to reach a point where we love our children more than we hate each other," RFK Jr. said.

Kennedy's endorsement is nothing short of a huge win for the Trump campaign. We'll see how it pays off in November.
