There's a new twist in the messy RFK Jr. affair scandal, as his journalist paramour, Olivia Nuzzi, points to the alleged source of the salacious story.

In a bombshell court filing, Nuzzi accused her ex-fiancé Ryan Lizza - who works for leftist rag Politico - of attempting to destroy her career with a "blackmail" campaign.

Nuzzi, a 31-year-old star reporter for New York magazine, entered the national spotlight recently when her tryst with 70-year-old Kennedy surfaced.

While Kennedy is not mentioned in the court filing, Nuzzi alleges that Lizza “explicitly threatened to make public personal information about me to destroy my life, career, and reputation—a threat he has since carried out.”

Nuzzi alleges that Lizza, "through a third party or anonymous channel,” tipped off her employer about what she calls “the matter."

The threat was part of an effort to blackmail Nuzzi back into a relationship with Lizza, she alleged, that also extended to stealing and hacking her personal electronic devices - as well as threats of violence to pressure her into assuming his share of financial responsibility for a book deal.

Nuzzi won a temporary no-contact order from the court, a routine action in domestic disputes - as Lizza denies her accusations completely.

“I am saddened that my ex-fiancé would resort to making a series of false accusations against me as a way to divert attention from her own personal and professional failings. I emphatically deny these allegations and I will defend myself against them vigorously and successfully,” Lizza said in a statement.

Kennedy denies affair

Nuzzi met Kennedy while writing a profile of his independent presidential campaign for New York magazine, which has since suspended her.

PageSix reported that the pair had digital sex over FaceTime and that Nuzzi is still infatuated with Kennedy, an infamous philanderer and scion of arguably the most glamorous family in American political history.

“Olivia told multiple people that they told each other they loved each other [over the phone] every time they talked,” a source said.

While Nuzzi has acknowledged the relationship, Kennedy has denied it, with sources close to him painting Nuzzi as the instigator.

Kennedy's reps have portrayed him as the victim of a honeypot operation, saying he met Nuzzi only once for an interview "that yielded a hit piece."
