RFK Jr. staffer arrested for violating protective order after choking woman
A paid contractor on Robert F. Kennedy's presidential campaign was arrested in May for violating a protective order after he choked a woman.
37-year-old Trent Pool is spearheading the effort to get Kennedy on the ballot. Pool was arrested in Dallas in May, Mediaite reported, for violating his protective order.
RFK Jr. contractor arrested
In April, Pool was arrested in New York City for choking a 25-year-old woman at an upscale hotel following a "verbal dispute." The woman refused medical attention.
Pool was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Assault. According to NYPD, Pool "wrapped his hand around her neck making it hard for her to breath and then struck her in the face with a closed fist, causing pain."
The Kennedy campaign said at the time, "Trent is a contractor. He tells us that the alleged incident never occurred.”
Pool was also arrested for assault in Seattle in a previous incident that was confirmed by local police.
Second arrest
Weeks after in the incident in New York, Pool was involved in a "disturbance" with a woman known to him on an inbound flight in Dallas.
The police said Pool had an argument with the woman on the plane on the night of May 29, and he was arrested for violating his protective order.
“On May 29, 2024, at about 10:55 p.m., Dallas Police were notified by Southwest Airlines of a disturbance on an inbound flight into Dallas Love Field Airport,” Dallas police said in a statement.
“The preliminary investigation determined 37-year-old Trenton Pool got into an argument with a woman on the airplane. Once the airplane arrived at Dallas Love Field Airport, Pool was arrested for violating a protective order out of New York City and transported to Dallas County Jail. Pool and the woman were known to each other."
Kennedy rattles Dems
Pool's company has been helping Kennedy gather signatures to get on the ballot.
Democrats have been fighting to keep Kennedy, who comes from a family of famous liberals, off the ballot. Kennedy is already on the ballot in swing states like Pennsylvania and Georgia.
