Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made headlines late last year when he left the Democratic Party to launch an independent presidential run.

However, the candidate is now facing questions concerning a possible scandal that could impact his marriage.

Comment left under racy TikTok video of OnlyFans model

According to the Daily Mail, Kennedy's official TikTok account commented on a video put out by an OnlyFans model in September of 2022.

The video featured an image of scantily clad model Tyler Idol, under which Kennedy's account wrote the word "Wow" next to a pair of smiling heart emojis.

Yet the Daily Mail stressed that Kennedy's team was quick to deny that "their candidate has eyes for anyone other than his wife, Curb Your Enthusiasm actress Cheryl Hines."

Campaign spokeswoman Stefanie Spear told the newspaper that the comment in question was left by 33-year-old social media manager Rijoun Murphy.

Kennedy took over social media manager's account just before campaign launch

"When Mr. Kennedy announced his run for the presidency in April of 2023 the team wanted it broadcasted on every social media platform, including TikTok," Spear said in a statement provided to the Daily Mail.

"However, TikTok does not allow live streaming for accounts that have less than 1,000 followers," the spokeswoman went on to explain.

"The social media manager decided to transfer his account which had more than 1,000 followers to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in order to stream Kennedy's announcement on TikTok," Spear continued.

She went on to state that all of the comments that had previously been made on TikTok by Murphy were subsequently re-labeled as belonging to Kennedy.

Social media manager didn't realize comments would be tied to Kennedy

The Daily Mail also cited an email sent by a Kennedy campaign staff member identified as "Amaryllis" to TikTok regarding the situation.

"Rijoun concluded that since RFK had not previously had an account, he would have no followers on Day One and therefore decided that he would repurpose his own account, which had just over 1,000 followers, to be sure he could complete his task," Amaryllis wrote.

"In the rush of his preparation, it never occurred to him that any previous comments he had made would then be attributed to RFK," the staffer added.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail noted that Murphy, who also works as a DJ and owns a music production company in Georgia, did not respond to a request for comment.
