Roseanne Barr shares account of tractor accident that left her 'trapped' under a fallen tree branch

Roseanne Barr, the famous actress and comedian who was effectively "canceled" nearly a decade ago over some supposedly racist tweets, has spent the past several years living a relatively quiet rural life on some acreage in Texas.

Barr revealed in an interview this week that her "dream life" in Texas was nearly ruined when she was involved in a tractor accident and was "trapped" for some time under a heavy tree branch, according to Fox News.

She was able to avoid any serious injuries or medical issues, however, and intends to continue operating the tractor despite her tendency to hit trees and knock down branches on herself.

Fallen tree branch "trapped me in my tractor"

In the Fox News interview, Barr explained of her idyllic life in Texas, "I'm doing a lot of mowing. I've got a really fantastic tractor out here, and I'm mowing."

"The only problem is, I don't clear the trees quite as good as I should, and I'm always hitting a tree and knocking it over, and it always hits me in the head," she continued, according to Taste of Country.

"So, I've had several injuries recently," Barr acknowledged. "I had this one tree, I guess it was two nights ago, I knocked it and a great big old branch fell right on my head and trapped me in my tractor."

"So I knew I had to get out of there, and it weighed about a hundred pounds," she said.

Barr recalled how she prayed to God for the strength to extricate herself from the serious situation, and then, "I just flipped it."

Barr's son admitted she "occasionally runs into trees" with the tractor

While the revelation of Barr's "simple" life in Texas may be surprising to some, it had already been exposed to a degree by Us Weekly in an exclusive report in April that included quotes from the comedic actress' son, Jake Pentland, with whom Barr lives along with his wife and their two daughters.

Barr, 72, spends some of her time working on a weekly podcast, creating new comedy material, and writing scripts for some creative new projects she may soon unveil.

When not working, the loving grandmother likes to dote on her two granddaughters or work on the family's property, which includes maintaining a garden and using a chainsaw to keep the trees trimmed -- albeit perhaps not as well as she maybe should.

"We have 30 acres and live up in what they call 'Hill Country,'" Pentland said of the family's Texas property. "Roseanne also drives the tractor often, which allows her to mow the lawn. She drives around. She occasionally runs into trees, but just keeps the yard up."

Barr should be more careful

It is a good thing that Barr is spending quality time with her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughters, and keeping herself busy with the necessary outdoors work that goes into maintaining a large tract of acreage.

That said, for the sake of her beloved family and her fans, she should try to be more careful to avoid potentially dangerous and deadly trees and branches while operating her tractor in the future.
