Legendary actor Clint Eastwood experienced heartbreak this week after it was revealed that his longtime mistress, Roxanne Tunis, passed away at 93.

According to the Daily Caller, the two carried out a relationship for some 14 years and had a daughter together, Kimber Eastwood. She confirmed her mother's death in a statement.

"My mom passed after a brief illness," Kimber Eastwood said in an emailed statement, according to Radar Online. It was noted that the family didn't immediately announce Roxanne's death.

Kimber also noted that Clint Eastwood sent his condolences to her and her son, adding that the development saddened him.

"True loves"

A source close to the family said that Roxanne Tunis, a former Hollywood stuntwoman, was one of Clint Eastwood's "true loves."

"Roxanne was one of Clint’s true loves," the source reportedly said, according to Radar Online.

The family source added, "He maintained a healthy relationship with Roxanne until the end, and is devastated by the loss and for his daughter Kimber."

Another source close to the family said, "Roxanne worshipped the ground he walked on."

They added, "She didn’t give a damn about the fact that Clint was a star. She was never impressed with all the money and fame. All she ever wanted was to have and to hold Clint Eastwood the man."

Radar Online noted:

Tunis and Eastwood began their illicit romance in 1964 when he was married to his first wife, Maggie Johnson, the Hollywood star’s college sweetheart.

The Dirty Harry hero and Johnson ultimately divorced in 1984 after 31 years of marriage and two children, Kyle, and Allison.

Clint Eastwood was reportedly not shy about his involvement with Roxanne through the years. It was noted that he would often find her after shooting a scene and put his arm around her.

"On the set, they were very open about the fact they were lovers. After Clint would finish a scene, he’d amble over to Roxanne and stroll around the set with his arm affectionately around her," a source told Radar Online.

The famous actor also maintained a relationship with his daughter, and even played a role together in Eastwood's hit 1997 movie, "Absolute Power."
