Barron Trump, the youngest of President-elect Donald Trump's children, is now a young adult in college in New York City, and the rumor mill has been churning for months about his potential love life.

Some would-be matchmakers have even made suggestions about who the president's son should date, with one notable possibility being Princess Leonora, the heir to the Spanish throne, according to the Irish Star.

As geopolitically intriguing as that coupling between the Trump family and foreign royalty might be, however, a professional matchmaker has also put forward a few possibilities among the domestic "royalty" in the form of daughters of famous Hollywood celebrity couples.

Barron and a princess?

In mid-October, a Spanish X user by the name of Ada Lluch posted side-by-side pictures of Barron Trump and Princess Leonora and wrote, "Barron Trump and the Princess of Spain Leonor are a match made in heaven."

To further make her case, she added, "Same age, no previous relationships, good values, good looking and with a powerful family. Prove me wrong."

The comments were a mixed bag of reactions, though, as some were fully supportive of the idea of Trump marrying into royalty while others downplayed it as highly unlikely or even beneath the dignity of the Spanish princess to marry a "commoner" American businessman.

Barron a "most eligible bachelor" and "ladies man" in college

While the rumors about Barron Trump's possible love life had already been swirling even before the post about him hooking up with the Spanish princess went viral, the speculation was substantially boosted a few weeks later by comments from his older brother Eric Trump in a late-October interview with The Independent.

"My advice to Barron is you are the most watched person, probably the most watched bachelor in the world right now," Eric said at the time. "Just be careful. There are a lot of eyes on you."

"He’s a great kid, a smart kid, he was brought up well," the brother added of his younger sibling who is now a freshman student at New York University's Stern School of Business, and reiterated that Barron could soon be considered "the most eligible bachelor anywhere in the world."

Fast-forward to mid-December and a report from People magazine that quoted an anonymous source as saying of Barron, "He’s at Stern so he’s studying business in some way. He’s a ladies' man for sure. He’s really popular with the ladies."

"He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive -- yes, even liberal people like him," the unnamed insider source added.

Barron could date a daughter of famous celebrity couples

Meanwhile, the Nicki Swift gossip site reported this week that professional matchmaker Susan Trombetti predicted that Barron Trump would have a steady girlfriend within the next year, though who that might be could be dependent upon what they think of his presidential father or the intense media scrutiny he will inevitably be under.

That is why Trombetti suggested that Barron should link up with similarly famous offspring of Hollywood celebrity couples, with some possibilities being Suri Cruise, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes; Violet Affleck, daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner; Apple Martin, daughter of Chris Martin and Gwenyth Paltrow; and Sunday Urban, daughter of Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman.
