Secret Service agent scoops up 3-year-old who slipped through White House fence
Secret Service agents opened fire on an armed Indiana man earlier this month after confronting him in close proximity to the White House.
What's more, the Secret Service recently sprung into action once again after an adorable intruder slipped through the security fence.
Video footage shows Secret Service scooping up wayward child
According to The Hill, Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi put out a statement on Wednesday regarding a 3-year-old child who was found on the White House lawn.
"Just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers observed a child slip through the White House north fence. Officers quickly reunited the child with their parents without incident," Guglielmi wrote.
A video clip of the incident circulated on social media, and it showed the child being scooped up by an agent before being passed off to another officer.

The Hill noted how this is not the first time that a young child has trespassed on the White House lawn, a similar incident took place two years ago.
Toddler "briefly entered White House grounds"
That case occurred in April of 2023, and it involved a toddler who made his way onto the North Lawn as his parents stood along Pennsylvania Avenue.
Guglielmi described what transpired in a statement provided to The Hill, saying, "The Secret Service Uniformed Division today encountered a curious young visitor along the White House north fence line who briefly entered White House grounds."
"The White House security systems instantly triggered Secret Service officers and the toddler and parents were quickly reunited," the spokesperson explained.
Meanwhile, The Hill reported this past December that an adult was caught attempting to climb over one of the White House's fences.
Secret Service temporarily installed anti-climbing fences prior to election
A statement provided by the Secret Service indicated that the person in question "did not breach the fence and there was no impact to any protectees."
The trespassing individual was "quickly taken into custody" by Secret Service agents who arrested him for unlawful entry.
The Hill pointed out that the Secret Service temporarily installed anti-climbing fences around the White House and Treasury Department complex as well as the vice president's residence prior to last year's election.
