Secretary Noem lands in Israel
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem is in Israel on behalf of the Trump administration.
On social media on Monday, Noem revealed that President Donald Trump had asked her to visit Israel following the recent killing of two Israeli diplomats.
She explained, "Following the horrific terrorist attack in Washington DC killing two Israeli diplomats, @POTUS. Trump asked me to visit Israel and meet with Prime Minister @netanyahu. Hate will not have the last word.

Has already met with Netanyahu
Fox News reports that Noem has already met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Per the outlet:
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday evening. Noem met the Israeli leader in Jerusalem, where she voiced "strong appreciation for the Prime Minister’s policies, particularly the construction of the border fence with Egypt and the conduct of the ongoing war," Netanyahu's office said.
The outlet goes on to explain how "the visit came on the eve of Jerusalem Day, which celebrates the reunification of East Jerusalem, which includes the Old City, with West Jerusalem."
It adds that the visit "also came days after a Chicago man shot and killed two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington D.C., last week."
Finally, the meeting comes as Israel continues to attack Hamas following the Oct. 23, 2023, terrorist attack that the group committed against Israel.
Trump stands behind Netanyahu
There have been reports recently indicating that the Trump administration may not be particularly happy with Netanyahu.
Politico, for example, has claimed:
President Donald Trump was quick to condemn the killing of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington and has called himself the most pro-Israel president in U.S. history. But, behind the scenes, there is a growing rift between him and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Whether there is any truth to this reporting is unclear. The Trump administration has not said anything publicly to support the reporting.
Noem, during her trip to Israel, in fact, said that "President Trump extends his greetings and his grief to all of you and he stands with you as we fight this hatred in the world."
Politico had claimed that the Trump administration was not happy with how Netanyahu had been handling the Middle East situation. The report, however, was based on anonymous sources.
