President Donald Trump has seen left-leaning judges obstruct a number of his policy initiatives by issuing nationwide injunctions.

Yet Trump recently got some good news when a Republican senator proposed legislation aimed at stopping the phenomenon.

Iowa senator schedules hearings on nationwide injunctions

According to Fox News, Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley has written a bill which would limit the ability of federal judges to issue nationwide orders affecting those who are not parties to a lawsuit.

"Since the courts and the executive branch are on an unsustainable collision course, Congress must step in and provide clarity," Grassley was quoted as saying in a statement last week.

What's more, the Iowa senator went on to add that he has scheduled hearings which "will explore legislative solutions to bring the balance of power back in check."

Fox News noted that the hearing is titled "Rule by District Judges II: Exploring Legislative Solutions to the Bipartisan Problem of Universal Injunctions" and will feature a number of legal experts.

Among them are University of Notre Dame professor Samuel Bray, former acting Associate Attorney General Jesse Panuccio, and Georgetown University professor Stephen I. Vladeck.

Grassley: Nationwide injunctions are "a favorite tool" of Trump's opponents

Grassley also made his case in a Wall Street Journal op-ed published this past weekend, writing, "These nationwide injunctions have become a favorite tool for those seeking to obstruct Mr. Trump’s agenda."

"More than two-thirds of all universal injunctions issued over the past 25 years were levied against the first Trump administration," he stressed.

"In the past two months alone, judges have issued at least 15 universal injunctions against the administration—surpassing the 14 President Biden faced throughout his four-year term," Grassley noted.

Trump slams "unlawful nationwide injunctions by radical left judges"

Fox News noted that the president recently complained about judicial obstruction in a Truth Social post, writing, "Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country!"

"These people are Lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings," Trump complained.

"If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!" the president went on to add.
