Sen. Mark Warner 'biggest hypocrite' for criticizing Trump admin Signal chat leak
The leaked messages from members of President Donald Trump's Cabinet and top national security advisers have given Democrats plenty of negative headline ammo to launch against Trump.
However, as Breitbart pointed out, there's quite a bit of hypocrisy emerging on that side of the aisle, including what Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia said in the wake of the Signal message controversy while not taking his own past mistakes into account.
Warner's attack on the Trump administration came in the wake of a top editor for the Atlantic seemingly being copied in a Signal message chat between Trump's top people regarding potential strikes against Houthis in Yemen.
Warner was a key player in the hoax Russia collusion narrative, and he had plenty of his secret Signal conversations leaked, including one in 2018 with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch.
What's going on?
The Virginia Democrat was clearly trying to nab a few headlines and social media video clips during a hearing this week, ripping into several of Trump's top Cabinet members regarding the Signal leak.
Breitbart noted:
Repeatedly calling the app an “unclassified system” that was used to send “classified information” — a claim that Gabbard repeatedly denied — Warner failed to recognize how having his own scandal exposed in 2018 makes him look like a hypocrite:
Senator Warner claimed that Signal is an “unclassified system.”
This is untrue, and many democrats have boasted about the security of the platform.

But in 2017, Warner's messages with Adam Waldman, a lobbyist for Russian billionaire and Putin crony Oleg Deripaska, were handed over to the Senate Intelligence Committee at the time.
Breitbart reported the messages read:
“Can you talk tomorrow want to get with ur English friend,” Warner texted on March 20, 2017.
“We have so much to discuss u need to be careful but we can help our country,” he said two days later.
“I’m in,” Waldman, whose firm reportedly has ties to Hillary Clinton, replied.
At the time, even President Trump reacted to the leaked messages, writing, "Wow! -Senator Mark Warner got caught having extensive contact with a lobbyist for a Russian oligarch. Warner did not want a “paper trail” on a “private” meeting (in London) he requested with Steele of fraudulent Dossier fame. All tied into Crooked Hillary."
"Biggest hypocrite"
Warner's criticism of the Trump administration earned him the title of "the biggest hypocrite imaginable" from a senior Republican Senate leadership aide.
“Senator Mark Warner is the biggest hypocrite imaginable. He loves using Signal to advance the Russia Collusion Hoax, then he gets on the fainting couch when Trump’s great security team takes out the terrorist Houthi barbarians," the aide reportedly said.
While the Signal leak is definitely embarrassing, it's not anywhere close to being as bad as many of the mistakes made under the Biden administration.
Democrats are desperate to generate any kind of negative publicity for Trump and his team, but this debacle will soon die out and once again leave them empty-mouthed.
