Rap music fans were recently saddened to learn that the sister of Young Thug unexpectedly passed away.

According to the website HipHopDx, Angela Grier's death was confirmed on Monday by the mother of rapper Lil Keed.

Cause of death yet to be revealed

Dolly White is one of Grier's sisters, and she posted an image of her fallen sibling to Instagram above multiple heart-broken emojis and a crying face.

Fans spoke up as well, with one Twitter user commenting on "the overwhelming support" for Grier before adding, "May your soul live on forever in paradise."

The website Medico Topics noted that while Grier's cause of death has yet to be publicly revealed, some sources have speculated that she passed away due to a heart attack.

Meanwhile, the Twitter account Broken Volume posted what it says is the last video that Grier ever put out on social media.

Young Thug facing gang, drug, and weapons charges

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed in May of last year that Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was arrested on gang-related charges.

Those charges stemmed from Williams' involvement with Young Slime Life, a record label that he helped to found. Prosecutors contend that the company is a front for criminal activity.

What's more, The Hollywood Reporter stated that a subsequent raid on Williams' home led to seven additional drug and weapons charges.
