Variety cited a statement from the Flagstaff Police Department which explained that Robert Brown was found dead from "an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound" at his Arizona home.

Robert's mother expressed concern over his mental health

The magazine noted that Robert Brown was regularly featured as a child on TLC's "Sister Wives," which debuted in 2010 and focused on his father's polygamous marriages.

He expressed an interest in military service while growing up and ultimately joined the Army National Guard while also moving out of his parents' house.

Variety noted that Janelle has expressed concern over her children, stating, "I have worried about my boys' mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he's also the kid who doesn’t say anything."

The mother went on to add that Robert "just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be." Meanwhile, Kody acknowledged that his relationship with his sons had grown difficult.

TLC expresses "deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences"

For its part, TLC quickly put out a statement which read, "We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown.

"We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time," the network went on to add.

Tributes to Robert Brown quickly appeared on social media, including from fans of the television show on which he appeared.

One person wrote, "RIP Robert Garrison Brown. He was a BRIGHT spot on the show and I was so happy to see his successes with work and owning his own home. He was such a great brother to his siblings, especially to sweet Gabriel."
