Jamie Foxx, 56, crafted a touching tribute of his own, honoring Weathers as a source of inspiration.

Foxx posted a carousel of images from Weathers' illustrious career and shared, "Every time I watched Rocky I always rooted for Apollo Creed… hearing of his passing, brought real tears to my eyes… God has just gained another angel."

Marlon Wayans, 51, reflected on how Weathers' portrayal of Apollo Creed in Rocky had a profound impact on his life. He praised Weathers for being a beacon of dignity and thanked him for empowering young black actors.
