"All My Children" star and fitness model Alec Musser died Friday at age 50 at his home in Del Mar, California, according to TMZ.

Musser's fiancee Paige Press said it was the "worst day of her life" as she announced his death. Musser's uncle Robert also confirmed his death; neither one disclosed his cause of death, however.

Musser starred as Del Henry on "All My Children" for 43 episodes between 2005 and 2007. He won the role after appearing on and winning SOAPnet's reality series "I Wanna Be a Soap Star" during season 2.

He also had acting roles in "Grown Ups," "Rita Rocks," "Desperate Housewives," and "Road to the Altar."

Fitness modeling career

Besides his acting credits, Musser also worked as a fitness model.

He appeared on magazine covers including Men's Health, Men's Workout, Exercise Health, and others.

He worked out regularly and was active on social media, where he had a sizeable following.

There was no indication in his numerous social media posts that anything was wrong with his health, which makes his sudden death all the more mysterious.

His engagement

Musser and Press got engaged last year. On her social media, Press posted over a vision board of engagement pictures, "RIP to the love of my life. I will never stop loving you."

"You were the best fiancé I could of [sic] ever asked for," she posted with a picture of Musser surprising her with a Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV that matched his own. "I don't even think I can drive my g wagon anymore."

Press and Musser were together for six years, according to a post by Press on Instagram of one of their early dates.

His Instagram showed him surfing just four days ago.

Adam Sandler, who worked with "Musser on Grown-Ups," commented on the post, "I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone."

"Such a wonderful, funny good man," Sandler continued. "Thinking of Alec Musser and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person."
