Sources say Biden is "angry" with fellow Democrats who criticized his son's pardon
President Joe Biden raised eyebrows earlier this month when he gave his son a blanket pardon despite having repeatedly promised not to do so.
The move brought criticism, including from those within his own party, something which has apparently left the president livid.
Sources say Biden is "angry" about reaction of fellow Democrats
That's according to Fox News, which cited an article published by The New York Times on Tuesday. It cites unnamed sources as saying that Biden is "moody" and "angry" over how some Democrats have reacted to the pardon.
Among them is Colorado Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, who addressed the matter in a statement posted to social media on December 1.
While as a father I certainly understand President @JoeBiden’s natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country. This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation.…

"While as a father I certainly understand [Biden’s] natural desire to help his son by pardoning him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of the country," Polis wrote.
"This is a bad precedent that could be abused by later Presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation," the governor went on to allege.
Chuck Todd calls Joe and Jill Biden "selfish"
The liberal backlash wasn't limited to elected officials, as NBC correspondent Chuck Todd also aired complaints about the president and first lady.
While speaking with political commentator Chris Cillizza, Todd highlighted court testimony suggesting that Hunter Biden turned his late brother's wife "into a crack addict."
"This was all happening in 2017-18," Todd stressed. "And Joe and Jill Biden were so concerned about their family that they decided to run for president."
"When you talk about the word selfish, their decision to run for President put the entire Democrat party and the United States of America in the position it's in now," he declared.
Legal analyst: Pardon was a "consummate act of nepotism"
Left-leaning legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin expressed reservations as well in a guest column he wrote for The New York Times.
Toobin argued that the president's decision to pardon Hunter Biden for all crimes committed since January 1, 2014 represented a "consummate act of nepotism."
"With the pardon of his son, Mr. Biden added his name to the roll call of presidents who dishonored their office by misusing the pardon power," Toobin asserted.
