Breitbart reported that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Jewish community leader who was murdered last month.

The news comes as critics say some Democrats in Washington, D.C. have been stoking the fires of antisemitism. 

Synagogue leader stabbed outside of her Detroit home

According to the New York Post, Woll was found stabbed to death outside her home in the Detroit neighborhood known as Lafayette Park on October 21.

Woll headed the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue and previously worked for Michigan Democratic Rep.  Elissa Slotkin as well as the reelection campaign of Michigan Democratic Attorney General Dana Nessel.

Detroit Police Chief James White announced the suspect's arrest Wednesday afternoon in a series of posts on the social media platform previously known as Twitter.

"As part of my continuing commitment to transparency in this matter, I am sharing with the community that a suspect has been taken into custody for the murder of Samantha Woll," White wrote.

House Democrat censured over anti-Israel comments

"While this is an encouraging development in our desire to bring closure for Ms. Woll's family, it does not represent the conclusion of our work in this case," he continued.

The law enforcement official went on to stress that "details of the investigation will remain confidential at this time to ensure the integrity of the important steps that remain."

"Investigators will be continuing their work with the Wayne County Prosecutors Office until the conclusion of this investigation," White declared as he drew to a close.

White's announcement came one day after Fox News reported that the House of Representatives voted to censure Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib over negative comments she made regarding Israel.

Tlaib's rhetoric compared with that of the Nazis

While Fox News noted that the censure motion was largely pushed by Republicans, 22 Democrats voted in favor of it as well.

They include Florida Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz, who compared Tlaib's words to Nazi rhetoric during an interview with CNN host Jake Tapper.
