Taylor Swift made Jessica Chastain a 'breakup playlist'
Jessica Chastain needed a little help getting over a breakup.
So she went to the expert: Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift is famous for having song after song and album after album inspired by various breakups and boyfriends, so who better to make a "breakup playlist" for Jessica Chastain than Taylor Swift?
Even back in 2011, Taylor Swift was an expert at breakups.
During a recent interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Chastain said that back in 2011 she met Taylor Swift when the two were sitting together at the Met Gala.
"We were both sitting next to each other and she was so sweet. I just went through a break-up and I was talking to her about that, and we went and danced together — it was such a fun night."
But the fun didn't stop there:
"And then the next day, I had an email from iTunes that said, like, ‘Taylor Swift’ or whatever, and I just thought that it was a Taylor Swift album." Turns out that it wasn't just a Taylor Swift album. The superstar "had made me a break-up playlist that she sent me! Isn't that the sweetest thing?"
"What are you kidding me? That’s unbelievable!" Host Jimmy Fallon responded.
No wonder he was pumped
Chastain was getting help through a breakup by the queen of breakups.
"I know! And here I thought it was like a Taylor Swift advertisement," Chastain said. "And she had, like, curated all these break-up songs to send me to help me get through my break-up."
Chastain didn't say who she was busy breaking up with at the time, but by 2012, she was doing much better.
That was the year she met Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, who she would eventually marry in 2017.
Taylor Swift made a lifelong fan out of Chastain with that one caring gesture.
So much so, that Chastain and her assistant made sure to make it to a Taylor Swift concert in 2023 in Mexico City.

"I was in Mexico City and she was touring there and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to Taylor’s concert,’" Chastain said about the photo. "This is my assistant Ali and she is like, obsessed with Taylor Swift and it was like the best day of her life. And I met Taylor, she’s actually really sweet."
