Reports surfaced on Wednesday that Taylor Swift is moving back to Nashville, Tennessee to be closer to boyfriend and NFL star Travis Kelce and put down "roots" there in case the couple decides to start a family.

A source told the Daily Mail that the move reflects Swift's "new outlook on life" and is a change from her preferred home base of New York City when she is in the U.S.

Swift wants to "establish roots in the ground for her future" with Kelce, the source further said.

"Taylor has grown up a lot in the past couple of years," the source began. "Falling in love with Travis so deeply has shifted her priorities around a bit and has given her a new outlook on life."

Safety in Nashville

Both Swift and Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, have experienced attempted break-ins at their previous primary residences--Swift's New York townhouse and Kelce's $6 million mansion in Leawood, Kansas.

They see Nashville as a safer area for when they decide to start a family.

The pair is reportedly "all in" on their relationship and may even be engaged.

Rumors of an engagement have surfaced, and some speculated Swift may have been hiding her left ring finger in recent photos.

The relationship

The pair, both 35, have been dating since September 2023, when Swift was seen in a luxury box at a Kansas City Chiefs game with Donna Kelce, Travis's mother.

She has attended 20 games since then, and Kelce has attended several of Swift's concert performances.

Kelce may want to retire from the NFL soon, especially if the Chiefs win a third Super Bowl.

His contract expires in 2027.

The insider said, "Their life has been a complete fairy tale, and they are going to continue that with everything they decide to do, they don't want to ever hamper a good thing."

"So it's been a discussion on what is next and it has all been productive and they are so on the same page," they added.
