The Daily Wire reported that a record breaking 83,000 migrants entered the United States last week following the end of Title 42, a Trump-era COVID policy which allowed illegal aliens to be swiftly removed.

That led to outrage, including from Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, he called the situation "a full on invasion."

Cruz says White House is "cheering" migrant influx

"It is a crisis. And the Biden administration is cheering it on … they want this to happen. They want more people to come in, and they don’t care about the body bags that are piling up," the Daily Wire quoted Cruz as saying.

"They don’t care about the women being sexually assaulted. They don’t care about the children being brutalized," he complained.

"They don’t care about the over 100,000 drug overdoses that we had last year, two thirds of which was from Chinese fentanyl coming across the southern border.

"And I gotta tell you, my home state of Texas is paying the price. And in Texas, we are furious about it. We’re frustrated," the senator stressed.

"Democrat mayors are freaking out and declaring a crisis. The Democrat mayor of Chicago, the Democrat mayor of Washington, D.C., the Democrat mayor where you are in New York City declares it a crisis when he gets even a few illegal immigrants," Cruz declared.

Migrants dropped off outside vice president's home

According to Fox News, a busload of illegal migrants were dropped off outside Vice President Harris' in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Fox News also reported last week that some in Chicago are upset over the number of illegal migrants who are entering their community.

"Why would any leader put our black communities already riddled with crime, at further risk by placing unvetted, non-taxpayers steps away from our seniors, our children, and our homes we've worked so hard on our own to secure," local resident J. Darnell Jones was quoted as saying.

Community advocate Natasha Dunn agreed, saying, "Our specific frustration lies in the continuous and blatant disregard for the safety and overall quality of life for black residents, as many of these migrants have been dumped in our neighborhoods without a plan in place to monitor and house them long-term."

Dunn went on to say she was "extremely dismayed by the city of Chicago's inability to control and develop safe parameters around housing migrants."

The network noted that outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has responded to the wave of new arrivals by declaring a state of emergency.
