'The View' blames Fox News for making America think Harris is a 'fool'

Flailing vice president Kamala Harris received a much-needed ego boost from The View on Monday.

The daytime show's hosts blamed Fox News for convincing Americans that Harris is a "bumbling fool."

Co-host Ana Navarro led the charge, saying that Fox is "trying to portray her as inept" by playing video clips of Harris' nonsensical rambling.

"She's not! That's not who she is!" Navarro continued.

Blaming Fox News

Of course, it isn't just Fox News that is skeptical of Harris's vaunted brilliance. Even among Democrats, Harris is widely seen as a liability to President Biden, who despite being decades older than her is more popular and, some would argue, somehow more articulate.

Navarro, who claims to be a Republican, scolded Democrats for failing to "reinforce" Harris more assertively ahead of the 2024 election cycle.

Of course, Navarro blamed racism and sexism for Harris' profound unpopularity.

"They’ve got to stop playing into the hands of these people who cannot stand that she is the first woman, the first woman of color vice president and don’t want her to succeed," she said.

Out of context?

Sunny Hostin, echoing Navarro, delved into an unhinged rant praising black women.

"Black women get everything done. We’ve saved this country’s democracy for centuries," she said.

Co-host Sarah Haines ventured to interrupt her co-hosts' racial idolatry, pointing to Harris' "repetitive" speech, which has been spoofed even by liberals at The Daily Show. Navarro responded by comparing Harris to Winston Churchill, saying even the British statesman could be made to look bad.

"They do it with us every single day," she said. "'Oh, look at what the hags on The View said!' They take it out of context, they portray it that way."

In reality, Harris has been ignoring phone calls from Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) after she failed to unequivocally endorse the vice president -- because nothing says "Churchillian" like requiring constant validation to do your job. Are these the "adults in the room" we've heard so much about?
