Wealthy investor Kevin O'Leary blasted New York's Democratic attorney general for trying to seize Donald Trump's property, declaring, "this is not America."

"I swear to you, everybody, this is not America. Don’t worry. Adults will enter the room soon," O'Leary told Fox News' The Ingraham Angle on Friday.

James had threatened to seize Trump's assets ahead of a Monday deadline to pay $500 million bond in his civil fraud case.

Property rights at risk in AG's crusade

O'Leary's prediction about "adults" getting involved proved correct when an appeals court intervened Monday and lowered the bond amount Trump has to pay to $170 million.

Trump said he has the cash to cover the lower bond, sparing him the loss of his real estate, at least for now, as he appeals the case.

"What was happening in New York was extremely scary," O'Leary told Fox News' America Reports on Monday. "Thank goodness the adults came to the rescue."

Days earlier, O'Leary shared his concerns that James had jeopardized America's reputation as a commercial powerhouse.

"If you go across the world and say, what’s the number one economy on earth you want to invest in, it’s the United States of America. That’s why it is the number one economy on Earth," he told The Ingraham Angle.

Trump hails victory

The Shark Tank star said his concern goes beyond Trump, noting the importance of property rights to the nation's Founding Fathers.

"Transparency. Property rights are mentioned 37 times in the Constitution. Due process. Very important. Why steal someone’s asset in 27 days? Why not give them more time to come up with the cash?" he asked.

The judge in the case, Arthur Engoron, acknowledged that there were no victims even as he slapped Trump with the staggering penalty.

The exorbitant punishment has led to an outcry from business titans, including Trump skeptics like O'Leary.

Trump said the appeals court's decision "shows how ridiculous" Engoron's staggering original decision was.

"I DID NOTHING WRONG, AND NEW YORK SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN A POSITION LIKE THIS AGAIN," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The victory for Trump came on the same day that his request for a delay was denied in his hush money trial, which is now scheduled to begin April 15.
