Though former first daughter Tiffany Trump has historically maintained a lower profile and a rumored distance from her famous family, recent reports indicate that her ties to her father's inner circle are stronger than many believe and that she is a valued member of the clan, as HOLA! explains.

As evidence of Tiffany Trump's role within the larger Trump family, the outlet pointed to her appearance at the funeral service for the mother of former first lady Melania Trump, which took place last week in Palm Beach, Florida.

Unified front

While Tiffany Trump's true position within the larger Trump family has long been the subject of speculation, her recent appearance at Amalija Knavs' funeral, alongside stepsister Ivanka Trump, indicated to many that it is strong and significant.

Tiffany, now 30, cut an elegant yet understated figure at the proceedings, accompanied by her husband, businessman Michael Boulous.

Her presence at the event at which Ivanka Trump also appeared seemed to belie longstanding rumors of a strain in their relationship.

PEOPLE magazine once reported that the two daughters of Donald Trump “used to not get along but now they're bonded over their shared trauma of being the most hated kids in America.”

“Going through that experience with their dad as president was awful for them, they hated it,” the insider declared. “People were so cruel. Especially about Tiffany's looks.”

Growing up on the periphery

Tiffany Trump was born to Donald Trump and his second wife, Marla Maples a fact which set her apart from her well-known stepsiblings from the start.

Whereas the former president's children from marriages to the late Ivanka Trump and Melania Trump were raised primarily on the East Coast, Tiffany grew up largely in California under the guidance of her mother, a situation which perhaps exacerbated the perception of distance with her father's family.

However, despite her relatively private West Coast upbringing, Marla Maples has said that she took steps over the years to ensure a strong connection between her daughter and her father, despite obvious challenges as PEOPLE reported late last year.

Maples said of the relationship, “Her daddy is a good provider with education and such, but as far as time, it was just me. Her father wasn't able to be there with day-to-day skills as a parent. He loves his kids. There's no doubt. But everything was a bit of a negotiation.”

“I would bring her into New York a couple times a year and let her go see her dad in the office and let her go have dinner with him and Melania,” Maples said. “I just said it's important for her to form her own relationship with him, without my input. I wanted to create some consistency where she could see him.”

Emotional bond evident

As PEOPLE noted, Tiffany Trump has thrown cold water on rumors of a rift between herself and her father, saying, “We see each other as much as possible and of course we speak on the phone,” adding, “I really have an emotional bond with him, and he was always just the funniest, most loving father. I'm so lucky to have parents who are so supportive of me, of each other.”

Having earned a bachelor's degree from her father's alma mater – the University of Pennsylvania – as well as a law degree from Georgetown University, it appears that Tiffany Trump's role within the large Trump family is indeed on solid ground and may only become more prominent as her dad's 2024 election campaign gains steam.
