Golf legend Tiger Woods was sure to call his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, to let her know he had started dating ex-daughter-in-law of the President, Vanessa Trump before the news broke in the press.

It was only fair that he give her a heads-up, particularly because his and Trump's families had started spending time together.

Woods and Nordegrin have been co-parenting for a long time--they divorced in 2010 when Sam, 17 and Charlie, 16 were just toddlers after Nordegren discovered in 2009 that Woods had had multiple affairs during their marriage.

According to Dail Mail online, Nordegren's first reaction to the news was, "Seriously? A Trump? For real?"

Wished him well

But Nordegren isn't political, her friends said and was able to accept Woods's new relationship.

Vanessa Trump was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 until 2018 and they have five children together.

A friend who knows both Woods and Nordegren said she wished Woods and Trump well in the new relationship.

Woods said at the time that it wasn't serious.

Both Kai Trump and Charlie Woods are aspiring golfers and attended the recent Genesis Invitational last month with their respective parents.

Kai Trump and Woods's kids also attend The Benjamin School--a prestigious private school that costs more than $38,000 per year--together. Because of this, Vanessa Trump and Elin Nordegren know each other.

It's all good

The Trump and Woods families live 20 minutes apart in Palm Beach as well, making it easy for them to spend time together.

According to the outlet, Trump Jr. is also good with his ex-wife's new relationship.

He is dating model Bettina Anderson after breaking off his engagement with Kimberly Guilfoyle, the ex-wife of California Governor Gavin Newsom (D).

Guilfoyle was nominated to be Ambassador to Greece by President Donald Trump in December, and she remains close to the Trump family.
