Key GOP House members are calling on Secretary of State Antony Blinken to resign over his role in a letter concerning Hunter Biden's laptop.

Blinken was behind the 2020 letter that claimed over 50 intelligence agents deemed the laptop Russian disinformation, according to testimony from a recent whistleblower.

Biggs leads the way

"Let's talk about our allies who now don't trust us at all," Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) said in an interview with Just The News.

"And why would they? They think we're weak, untrustworthy. How in the world can he remain our spokesperson to the world? ... I just don't see how he can, and he should go. I think he's irreparably harmed the United States," he added.

Rep. Ron Johnson also called for Blinken to resign.

"Again, so many members of the Biden administration have this level of deceit, dishonesty, and corruption," Johnson said. "This is a lawless administration."

Jordan joins the attack

“The reason Mike Morell said he did the letter was he thought President Trump would bring the issue up during that debate on the 22nd of October,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Fox News host Laura Ingraham Thursday night.

“And of course he did, and they wanted some statement that Joe Biden could use because, as Mr. Morell has said, they wanted him to win … and then after that debate, here’s the kicker: Steve Ricchetti, the chair of the Biden campaign, calls up Mike Morell and thanks him for doing it all," he added.

“So Tony Blinken, Secretary of State, orchestrated the letter falsely calling the Hunter Biden laptop Russian disinfo,” tweeted Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO). “This guy should not still have a job.”

The growing calls for Blinken's resignation come as Trump continues to face legal battles in his effort at a comeback bid for the White House in 2024.

The latest information about Blinken may help Trump but it doesn't look like Blinken plans to respond to the GOP's calls for him to step down over his role in the Biden laptop scandal.
