Throughout the course of last year's campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly pledged to end the migrant crisis along America's southern border.

Trump delivered on that promise, with newly revealed figures showing how his administration has crushed the inflow of illegal aliens.

Department of Homeland Security report: "Illegal crossings have collapsed"

According to the Daily Caller, the Department of Homeland Security put out a press release this past Friday which announced that in July, "illegal crossings have collapsed to all-time lows."

Border Patrol agents apprehended just 4,598 over the course of July along the southern border, with the Daily Caller pointing out that this is almost 500 fewer individuals than the daily average during former President Joe Biden's term.

Meanwhile, July 20 set a new record for the lowest number of apprehensions in a single day, standing at just 88 individuals.

What's more, none of those whom the Border Patrol took into custody were subsequently turned loose, marking a stark departure from the prior administration's approach.

Secretary Kristi Noem: Trump "obliterated" Biden's border crisis

The Daily Caller noted how that development was welcomed by Trump administration figures, including Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

"History made, again. The numbers don’t lie — this is the most secure the border has ever been," Noem was quoted as saying in a statement on Friday.

“President Trump didn’t just manage the crisis — he obliterated it. No more excuses. No more releases. We’ve put the cartels on defense and taken our border back," she added.

Michael W. Banks serves as Border Patrol chief, and he similarly touted his agency's work in a social media post which listed quantities of narcotics, weapons, and vehicles that had been seized in the month of July.

Head of Border Patrol: "Stats don't lie"

This haul included 72,373 pounds of marijuana, 2,200 pounds of methamphetamine, 1,841 pounds of cocaine, 1,785 pounds of liquid heroin, 400 lbs. of fentanyl, 126 firearms, and 375 vehicles.

"We're proud to share a snapshot of our agents' relentless hard work and dedication-the numbers speak for themselves," Banks declared.

"Stats don't lie. Border Security IS National Security and we will continue to unapologetically enforce our nation's laws," the Border Patrol chief went on to stress.
