Trump administration is going after those who assault ICE agents
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revealed last month that assaults on ICE agents have risen by 830% since President Donald Trump took office.
In response, the Trump administration is dropping the hammer on those responsible with a series of high-profile arrests.

According to Breitbart, that message was recently put forward in a social media post by Gregory K. Bovino, who serves as chief of the El Centro Border Patrol Sector.
It was a bad day to be wearing his anti-ICE shirt. 🤦♂️

His post featured video footage of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) members taking an American into custody last week.
"This U.S. citizen is accused of assaulting a federal agent by spitting on him during an immigration arrest under Operation at Large," Bovina wrote.
Oregon man faces two felony charges
"Our agents swiftly served him a warrant in Los Angeles. California may coddle criminals, but we don’t," the federal official stressed.
"If you assault a federal agent, you earn federal consequences. Remember: When talking to federal law enforcement officers, say it, don’t spray it," Bovino went on to add.
The federal law enforcement officer also drew attention to the suspect's choice of clothing, remarking, "It was a bad day to be wearing his anti-ICE shirt."
Meanwhile, Breitbart noted how the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the arrest of another man in connection with anti-ICE activities.
Federal prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Robert Jacob Hoopes with aggravated assault of a federal officer with a dangerous weapon as well as depredation of federal property in an amount exceeding $1,000.
ICE agent left with "a significant laceration"
Hoopes is said to have hurled large rocks at an ICE building and struck an agent in the head, something which resulted in "a significant laceration over the officer’s eye."
Additionally, Hoopes and two other individuals are accused of using a stop sign to attack the main door of the ICE building, causing "significant damage."
What's more, Breitbart pointed out that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Oregon has brought charges against 23 individuals for attacks on agents and government property.
