Former President Donald Trump likely just STUNNED the judge on his defamation case with his latest move!

Recently, Judge Arthur Engoron found Trump GUILTY and ordered him to pay over $350 million dollars.

The baloney didn't stop there.

Plus, the former president is no longer allowed to operate business in New York for the news three years.

Now, according to Reuters, Trump has fought back.

He has filed an appeal with an appellate court to attempt to overturn Engoron’s ruling.

Trump is taking a HUGE gamble with this strategy – the longer he puts off paying, the larger his penalty grows.

In fact, according to the office of Attorney General Letitia James and CBS News, it grows by over $100,000 dollars every single day he doesn’t pay.

He originally owed $355 million – but now, because he has not forked over the money, that number has jumped by nearly $100 million more.

The former president currently owes $454 million dollars if the ruling is not overturned.

However, Trump actually may have a chance at overturning the ruling.

There are a lot of business sharks that are not happy with the ruling banning Trump from operating businesses in New York.

In fact, many are concerned with the domino effect Trump pulling out of New York may start.

One of those men is real estate investor Grant Cardone.

Cardone sat down for an interview on “FOX & Friends,” and let his thoughts on the matter be known.

“We thought this year was the opportunity to come into Chicago, California and New York City. I've been waiting for 40 years now to invest in that marketplace. I was completely confident this was the year to come. And when that ruling happened, it was like, pencils down. Don't touch it. Don't go there,” Cardone said in the interview.

The fact that the ruling against Trump is already causing big names like Cardone to become concerned could benefit Trump.

If enough big business players raise their concerns, is there a chance the government may actually listen?
