Many believe that President-elect Donald Trump will exact revenge on his political opponents as soon as he takes office in January. After all, who could blame him for wanting to do so?

But according to Breitbart, the man himself said that he will not seek retribution against President Joe Biden or anyone in his administration and, instead, let his retribution "be through success."

During a wide-ranging interview on "Meet the Press," Trump told host Kristen Welker his thoughts on his incoming FBI director, Kash Patel.

She asked the president-elect if Patel will be ordered to go after any of Trump's political enemies.

What did he say?

Welker pointed out a Truth Social post Trump wrote earlier during the campaign in which he promised to appoint a special prosecutor to go after Joe Biden and the Biden crime family.

"Are you going to do that? Are you going to go after Joe Biden?" Welker said, pressing Trump on the question.

"I’m really looking to make our country successful. I’m not looking to go back into the past. I’m looking to make our country successful. Retribution will be through success. If we can make our success – this country successful, that would be my greatest, that would be such a great achievement. Bring it back," Trump responded.

He went on to point out the numerous problems America faces at the moment and vowed to get the country back on track.

"We have a country now that’s overridden with crime, that has millions of people that shouldn’t be here, that should be in prisons in other countries, that should be in mental institutions. We have drug lords being dropped into our country and told never go back to their country. I’m looking to make our country great. I’m looking to get – bring prices down," Trump continued.

The president-elect added that he "won on the border... and groceries," saying that he vows to bring the prices of groceries back down.

Pardoning J6 defendants

Trump also made headlines during the interview for vowing to offer pardons for certain J6 defendants on his first day back in office.

He told Welker when asked if he would do it that he'll "act quickly" on the matter, pointing to another Day One promise.

The establishment media had a complete meltdown as a result of Trump's promise to pardon an unknown number of J6 defendants.

Trump has made a number of Day One promises, and there's no reason at this point to think that he'll do anything other than honor them all.
